Future Smart House Technology Will Be for All

Future Smart House Technology Will Be for All

Researchers at NR work with the technology of the future and find out how to apply technology for solutions that are secure, user-friendly, and universally designed. The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) produced this news item on some prototypes that are used in the uTRUSTit project.

In uTRUSTit – Usable Trust in the Internet of Things NR’s researchers are responsible for user testing and how technology can fulfill the requirements for universal design and accessibility. The uTRUSTit project is supported by the 7th Framework Programme of the EU. The news item at NRK is about welfare technology that our society needs in the future. Trust and experienced safety and security when using this type of welfare technology is important, as is privacy. How shall relevant information about security be presented? How can a medical cabinet be used without confusing the user with technical details? Finally, what can be done so people will trust their medical cabinet with their information. The uTRUSTit project addresses many research challenges tied to the technologies of the future. You can read more here on uTRUSTit’s web page.
