Kristina Rognlien Dahl and Eivind Stordal awarded NR's masterprize at UiO 2012
Norsk Regnesentral instituted in 2009 an award for the best thesis in mathematics and computer science at the University of Oslo. This year the prize went to Kristina Rognlien Dahl for her thesis "Convex Duality and Mathematical Finance" (supervisor: Professor Bernt Øksendal, Department of Mathematics) and Eivind Stordal for his thesis "Power-law attenuation of acoustic waves in random stratified viscoelastic media" (supervisor: Professor Sverre Holm, Department of Informatics).
The award is a diploma and NOK 25 000 and was handed out on dagen@ifi by NR's managing director Lars Holden.
