New research scientists have joined NR
NR continues to strengthen the staff. After the summer holliday, two new research scientists have joined our research department DART; Aleksander Bai and Heidi Mork. Earlier this year Sigurd Eskeland started at DART as well.
Aleksander Bai has a Master of Computer Science from University of Oslo where he completed his master degree on Quality of Service (QoS) for wireless networks in collaboration with Telenor R&D and Simula Research Laboratory. During his master degree he was nominated for the Young Scientist of the Year award. After completing his studies Aleksander worked as an entrepreneur, both on own projects and as an IT consultant for several small and big companies around Norwegian.
For the last years he has been working towards his PhD within sentimental analysis and Big Data. At NR Aleksander will focus on research within smart information systems, sensors and e-inclusion.
Heidi Mork holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oslo. Her work was in the field of algebraic geometry, where she studied real algebraic curves and surfaces, and the singularities on these objects.
For the last six years, Heidi has worked as a developer at the IT consultant company Computas, where she has gained extensive experience with the different aspects of software development. At NR she will work on research within eInclusion and smart information systems.
Sigurd Eskeland has a Ph.D in infomation security from Aalborg University, Denmark, with focus on secure multi-party cryptographic protocols. He moreover has a master degree in ICT and a engineering degree in industrial electronics. He has amongst others worked for the Norwegian Defence and the Norwegian Patent Office.
At NR Sigurd will focus on research within information security.
