The Norwegian Computing Center performes research on weather forecasts focusing on extremes and statistical post-processing of predictions.

This is a collaboration with the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS), University of Mannheim and University of Bonn through the project Mesoscale Weather Extremes - Theory, Spatial Modeling and Prediction. The project is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
