Workshop on probability and statistical modeling, and applications:

9th Smögen Workshop

Smögen, Sweden
August 13-16, 2018

Summary

During the past three decades the Stochastic Centre in Gothenburg has run a series of workshops on probability and statistical modeling and applications. This workshop, the 9th in the series, is organized together with the Norwegian Computing Center in Oslo. The four day workshop will be divided into six sessions, three on point processes (organized by Claes Andersson/Aila Särkkä, Thordis Thorarinsdottir, and Rasmus Waagepetersen), one on random fields (organized by David Bolin), one on extreme values (organized by Holger Rootzén/Thordis Thorarinsdottir), and one on analysing microscopy images (organized by Marco Lonfils/Mats Rudemo). In addition to talks, there will be ample time for informal discussions and research.

Smögen is a small fishing-village in the archipelago on the Swedish west coast 150 km north of Gothenburg and 200 km south of Oslo. Room and board at Smögens Hafvsbad as well as the transport between Gothenburg or Oslo and Smögen is covered for all workshop participants.

Participation in the workshop is by invitation only and registration is now closed.
